Boeing Whistleblower's Family Speaks Out After Sudden Death

Boeing Whistleblower John Barnett Found Dead Amid Depositions Against Plane

The family of a former Boeing quality manager who recently passed away has spoken out about his sudden death, alleging that he was murdered in retaliation for his whistleblowing activities.

John Barnett, 58, was found dead in his home in South Carolina on March 12, 2024. His death is being investigated by the FBI, but no arrests have been made.

Barnett's family believes that he was killed because he was about to testify in a deposition against Boeing in a lawsuit filed by the families of the victims of the two fatal 737 MAX crashes.

Barnett had previously warned Boeing about safety issues with the 737 MAX, but his concerns were ignored. After the two crashes, Barnett became a whistleblower and spoke out about the safety issues with the plane.

Boeing has denied any wrongdoing and has said that Barnett's death is "a tragedy." However, the family's allegations have raised concerns about the safety of whistleblowers who speak out against corporate wrongdoing.
